Albany Water Treatment Facility Armentrout Roebuck
Matheny Consulting Group, P.C..
provided the engineering for this three-story, three-wing
industrial/office facility. The 30,000 sq. ft. structure included a three-level bulk
storage hoist system and a 65-foot clear span, 52 feet tall filter bay
area with a traveling crane system approximately 40 feet above the
finish floor. The
structural system is comprised of precast/structural steel,
cast-in-place concrete and light gage metal structural members along
with some massive concrete foundations.
The facility contains process tanks and chemical fee equipment.
The total project cost is approximately $15 million.
ARMCG utilizes structural software that is the best on the market which creates an actual 3-Dimensional model of the structure (real size of members including connection offsets, not only centerline/stick frame models). ARMCG engineers use the 3-Dimensional model as the base for analysis, structural member sizing, connection designs, and then actual production drawings which allows more work in a shorter time frame than previous technology.
