The project includes more efficient and productive treatment processes as well as substantial operational improvements.  Approval of the project was obtained through the State of Georgia’s Environmental Protection Division.

The facility treats an average of  approximately 27 million gallons a day of wastewater.  Improvements consist of a new headworks, new influent pumping facilities, additional aeration capacity and changes in the digestions processes.

The project is scheduled to be complete by March 2003.
