firm is widely recognized for its ability to tackle unique and complicated
structural problems. Armentrout Roebuck Matheny Consulting Group, P.C.’s
projects include the design/build of a two-level, precast concrete school facility
that withstood Category Four Hurricane Ivan’s 130 mph winds with no damage when
the storm struck the island of Grenada in September of 2004. The majority of the educational buildings
on the island were destroyed by the hurricane and the firm’s newly completed
school became a storm shelter for local residents riding out Ivan and several
months later a second hurricane with sustained winds above 100 mph. The school in Grenada was designated as
one of their featured projects by the Export-Import Bank of the United States
in 2005. |
